I began my career teaching Primary School children in England and English as a foreign language in Greece and Germany.

     Art was my main subject during my teacher training and became more important to me whilst living in Italy surrounded with such an abundance of important artifacts.

On my return to England as my children reached school age I decided to study Fine Art, which I later taught part-time at secondary and tertiary levels, whilst carrying on my own art practice and studying for an M.A. in Fine Art Print Making.

 In 1995 I stopped teaching to concentrate on my own artwork and began an exciting time of my life setting up exchanges between artists in the U.K., France and Senegal.
